Castings, as products often used in our daily lives, are mainly affected by the following four factors:

 

1. Design craftsmanship of cast iron parts. When designing, in addition to determining the geometry and size of the casting based on the working conditions and metal material properties, the rationality of the design must also be considered based on the casting process characteristics and casting alloy to avoid deformation, cracking and composition of the casting. Segregation and other defects.

 

2. The casting process must be reasonable, which means choosing the appropriate shape and core-making method according to the structure, size and weight of the cast iron parts. And the chilled iron, riser and gating system must be properly set up to ensure the quality of the cast iron parts.

 

3. Whether the quality of the raw materials used for casting is excellent or not. If the quality of materials such as metal charge, solvents, modifiers or coatings does not meet the standards, defects such as pores, slag inclusions, and sand adhesion will occur in the cast iron parts, thus affecting the internal and external quality of the cast iron parts.

 

4. The process operating procedures must be reasonable. When making castings, it is necessary to continuously improve the technical level of workers, and at the same time, formulate reasonable process operating procedures to make the production process correct and reasonable.
