2020 is an extraordinary year. The epidemic at the beginning of the year and the flood conditions at the beginning of summer have had a considerable impact on us.
From the end of January to the end of March this year, due to the impact of the epidemic, all real economies suffered heavy losses. You will find that small shops on the street are beginning to be transferred, people are beginning to lose their jobs, companies are beginning to cut wages, and some are even unable to pay wages. For Liju, it has also gone through difficult times.
Since we are a foreign trade-oriented enterprise, we are not allowed to start work during the opening hours. We cannot produce, cannot ship goods, and traffic is cut off. As a result, we cannot deliver to overseas customers, and naturally we cannot obtain payment for the goods. Therefore, the first quarter is a big one for us. challenge, but luckily we managed to persist until the start of construction. However, starting from March, overseas epidemics began to gradually prevail. After we started operations normally, overseas customers began to suspend production again. We had already anticipated the impact of this second wave from overseas, so after the start of operations in March this year, we actively We help overseas customers find anti-epidemic materials and find ways to transport them overseas for emergency relief. On the one hand, we have also begun to actively explore the market, especially focusing on the domestic market and looking for new opportunities.
The second quarter of this year was a new breakthrough for Liju. It briefly focused on the domestic market from overseas markets. After many iterations, it persisted in not giving up any possible cooperation opportunities. With many years of excellent technical experience and high-quality services Our attitude has gradually gained the trust of some domestic customers. This also allows us to see that the epidemic is both a dilemma and an opportunity. When encountering problems and bottlenecks, it is better to face the difficulties than to sit back and wait for death.
We found through statistics that our volume has declined in the past half year, but fortunately we have persisted. The situation in the second half of the year will be greatly improved with the introduction of new products. At present, we are stepping up the development of new products for several customers at the same time.
